Selenophile
Selenophile I’m
In love with thee, O’ Moon!
The night thou shone in my path
When in the dark I was lost
I was enamored with thy genuine love.
Thy sprightly frolic
With waters sparkling
On the night of full moon
I was yet again enthralled
By thy vivacious resplendence.
When the nimbus enshrouded thy visage
Enraptured by thy resilience
My heart pined for a view of thee;
And the evening thy glimmers
Fell with the showers of rain
I felt envious of thy union.

Where Are You Freedom!!
Tricolor summons thee
O’Freedom, Where art thou?
I stand smeared with falsities
Enshrouded with deceitful mist.
Neither I can wipe
Tears of my daughters oppressed by patriarchy
Nor I can assuage
The grieving mothers who lost their sons.
Perhaps the vibrant shades of mine
No longer inspires the patriots.
Slashed and slit into small pieces, I’m
Hung in temples, mosques and churches.
I stand at those crossroads
Yet at a loss to tell the right way.
O’Freedom! Where art thou?
Tricolor summons thee
Come with an elixir this time
To engrave thy essence for lifetime.
